ATRs Robotics & Control Systems (RCS) Division is focused on Real-time Control Systems, which are designed according to the unique RCS Methodology. We offer a comprehensive suite of RCS Products, including RCS Software Controllers, industrial hardware components, and RCS Enterprise Control Studio®, our application development environment. ATR personnel were among the original developers of RCS and participated in its use at NIST. At NIST, RCS is the control architecture for the design and implementation structure for the Automated Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF), and the foundation of NASREM, the control architecture specification used for NASA's Flight Telerobotic Servicer, a robotic system for aiding in the assembly and servicing of space stations.
